As an anesthesiologist and intensivist, I treat critically ill patients on a daily basis. It is a high pressure, high stakes environment, one in which I have to make split second decisions to help save lives.
Even with this background, I felt completely helpless when my own son needed to have surgery; I was worried and scared. While we had a great team who gave him great care, I found the experience overwhelming.
My goal is to provide value based off of my profession, and more importantly, my experience as a mother!

I wrote "Eden Gets Ready for Surgery", as a fun, yet realistic description of what to expect when a child undergoes surgery so that they can be more comfortable and familiar with the experience. The book also provides accurate pictures and descriptions marking the moment parents enter a hospital with their little one to child's recovery.
It is my hope that this book may help allay YOUR fears when YOUR child needs surgery.
